Gonex PP01 — Review
The PP01 is about as cheap as a real paddle gets, and Gonex still made it playable. It leans control and keeps the ball in, which is what a tight budget actually needs. I was surprised it did not feel like a toy.

What stood out
- Unbeatable price. A genuine paddle for the lowest spend.
- Control lean. Keeps rallies alive instead of blasting long.
- Decent spin. The textured face helps more than the price suggests.
What to weigh
- Feels entry-level. The build is basic and the pop is soft.
- Shorter lifespan. Heavy play will wear it faster than premium gear.
Who it's for
The answer when the budget is truly tight but you still want to start right. It is the paddle I lend to a friend trying the sport for the first time.
Verdict
Lowest price The absolute floor for price, and it still gets a beginner started properly.
