A note on core thickness
Core thickness is the easiest power dial on a paddle. The LUXX at 19mm is the softest and most controlled paddle I tested; the Black Opal at 14mm is the liveliest. Most paddles sit at 16mm as a compromise. If power is your only goal, go thin and elongated. If you want pace you can still control at the net, the 16mm all-court builds are the safer bet.
